Fernando def. Paul-Henri Mathieu this morning in Hamburg, in straights sets 7/5 6/4. Finally, he succeeded to def. the French player after the two last defeats in Miami and Estoril.
Due to the rain of yesterday, Fernando had to play a second match today to reach the quarter finals. At the end of the afternoon, he def. Jurgen Melzer in three tough sets 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.
In the quarters, Feña will face the spanish player, Rafael Nadal. It will be difficult to play and win the match after this marathon day. It will be the third single match of the day.
